Excursion to Potsdam

Tuesday 12th September, this was the day of the Potsdam tour so it was up early for fruhstuck of scrambled eggs and on to the packed  6.30am bus for Hermanstrasse SBahn station ,with a load of workers. The journey involved changing at Jannowitzbrucke station to the purple line S7 all the way to Potsdam arriving at 9.30 ready for a cycling challenge.
Beside the station was a giant cycle parking area, catering to the duel use of cycle and train, adjacent to
Peddes ,finest bike paddle tours, for E11,
I was on my way ,changed into shorts, with IPad and video camera.
Hollandisches Viertel was my first stop, the old Dutch quarter, where the road passes through the walled gate

Then on to Neuer Park beside the lake ,this was fine cycling territory, very very green, mature Oak trees,up market housing, and a lack of cars. But also lack of sineage so at one stage heading in the wrong direction.
Once on to Berliner strasse it was time to stop for the crusty camembert roll and coffee in the sunshine.
Park Sanssouci  with its manicured lawns, gardens and numerous palaces provided excellent photography.
A flutist recognised my Australian flag cap and played "once a jolly swagman",but time was keeping me moving passed the windmill, botanical glass houses, and Chinese dragon house.
